Densit® Cast Basalt

Along with Densit® chemically bonded ceramic, fused cast basalt is one of the most frequently used wear protection materials. In addition to its high level of hardness and abrasion resistance, it is characterised by excellent resistance to almost all acids and alkalis.

Fused cast basalt surfaces remain smooth and low in friction when used over time, thereby offering the benefit of low caking.

Fused cast basalt provides excellent protection against the following abrasive media:

ore - sinter - ash - slag - sand - coal - clinker

Densit® WearFlex 2000 HT wear resistant linings provide superior protection against heavy erosive wear at temperatures up to 1200°C (2190°F).

Densit® WearFlex 1000 wear resistant linings provide excellent protection against high erosive wear at temperatures up to 400°C (750°F).



Customized pipes / bends

PT. Dero Indonesia manufactures customized pre-lined pipes and bends that provide effective protection against wear from abrasive medias such as ore, sinter, ash, slag, sand, coal and clinker.

The pipes and bends can be lined with Densit® WearCast, Densit® Basalt or Densit® Aluminium Oxide Ceramic.

The pipes and bends are constructed according to customer requirements for geometric shape, flanges and coupling options.

Densit® Cast Basalt is usually installed in cement mortar. For strong mechanical stresses, vibration and/or higher temperatures, other mortars may be used.

Wear protection lining with Densit® Aluminium Oxide Ceramic

Densit® Aluminium Oxide Ceramic is used for plant components exposed to extreme wear and/or temperature conditions for thin linings

  • Available from 1.5 mm thickness

Application temperature up to 1000°C (1832°F)

Densit® Aluminium Oxide Ceramic

Aluminium Oxide Ceramic is used for plant components exposed to extreme wear and/or high temperatures. Application temperature: up to 1000°C (1832°F) depending on the application and geometric shape.

Aluminium Oxide Ceramic linings can be made very thin and the surface remains smooth and low in friction when used over time, thereby offering the benefit of low caking.
